Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable General Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction, landscaping, and maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of projects across different sites. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in horticulture, gardening, or construction is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely and efficiently
• Support excavation activities using machinery such as excavators under supervision
• Maintain irrigation systems and ensure proper functioning of watering equipment
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on tools and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency
• Help with construction-related activities including site preparation and material handling
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times
• Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents or injuries

Qualifications

• Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or construction is preferred but not mandatory
• Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and hand tools is advantageous
• Basic understanding of horticulture or gardening practices is desirable
• Ability to operate machinery such as excavators (training provided if necessary)
• Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
• Strong organisational skills with attention to safety procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and undertake diverse tasks
