Gateman/woman job at York Full Time

Company Overview

We are currently working on a site in York YO24, and are looking for an experienced Gateman/Women 3 months work for right candidate with good communication skills.

You must have a minimum of five years site experience a valid NPORS/CPCS card and your own transport.

All other training relevant to the role will be provided along with PPE.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Manage access points to construction sites, verifying credentials of personnel and vehicles.
• Coordinate with site managers to facilitate the safe movement of machinery and workers.
• Maintain accurate logs of all entries and exits.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with site regulations.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, visitors, and team members.
• Assist in maintaining a secure environment on-site.
• Support other site personnel as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
• Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Gateman or similar role in construction or civil engineering environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Certifications & Training

• Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker or above)
• CPCS / NPORS VM

Additional Requirements

• Good understanding of construction site procedures
• Ability to follow site plans and digital models accurately
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Site working hours 7:30-17.00
