Freelance Estimating Assistant – Landscaping / External Works job at Remote Full Time

I run a landscape estimation business specialising in high-end residential landscaping and external works projects across the UK.

I am looking for a freelance estimating assistant to support with project take-offs, quantity measurement, BOQ preparation and general estimating support on a remote basis.

The role will involve:

• PDF take-offs and quantity measurement
• BOQ and cost plan preparation
• Supplier and material enquiries
• Excel spreadsheet input and organisation
• Assisting with revisions and project updates
• General estimating and administrative support

Projects typically include:

• Paving and hard landscaping
• Retaining walls and steps
• Timber structures and decking
• Planting and soft landscaping
• External works and garden construction

Ideal background:

• Junior Quantity Surveyor
• Estimating assistant
• Landscape architecture graduate
• CAD technician
• Construction or landscaping experience

Useful software experience:

• Excel
• Bluebeam
• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Construction take-off software

This is flexible remote freelance work with immediate ongoing workload available.

Hourly rate:
£18–£22 per hour depending on experience.
