The Role

We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Front of House Host / Hostess to join our Front of House team. This role involves regular shifts, including weekend working.

You will play a key role in delivering attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm service, ensuring every guest feels valued and at ease.

This is fine dining without unnecessary formality high standards, attention to detail, and always approachable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, confident welcome and attentive, personable table service
• Deliver food and beverage service to a consistently high standard
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of our seasonal menu, ingredients, and allergens
• Confidently describe dishes and offer thoughtful food and wine pairings
• Anticipate guest needs while remaining relaxed and unobtrusive
• Maintain excellent table presentation and overall dining room standards
• Take orders accurately and process transactions using point-of-sale systems
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
• Support bar service when required
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, seamless service
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as needed
• Handle guest feedback professionally and positively, resolving issues promptly
• Follow effective time management practices to ensure smooth service during busy periods
• Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
• Be willing to support all areas of the operation to ensure smooth daily service

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential full training will be provided
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
• Confidence in communicating menu knowledge and making recommendations
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Basic maths skills for accurate transaction handling
• Experience in serving or culinary roles is advantageous but not required
• A proactive, positive attitude towards teamwork and guest satisfaction
