Full job description
We are seeking a pro-active Financial Controller to join a small supportive team and take ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations of a family-owned manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who is looking for their next step and might be moving from a Finance Manager or Management Accountant position.
Financial Controller Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial reporting, month-end and year-end processes
- Prepare management accounts, support budgeting/forecasting and report to the board
- Manage costings, KPIs and monthly P&L
- Lead cashflow management and balance sheet reconciliation
- Support decision-making with clear financial insights and analysis
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Manage and develop a small finance team
About You:
- Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA with a proven track record in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar role
- Good experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Confident communicator able to partner with non-finance stakeholders
- Previous experience in team management
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Systems savvy with strong Excel skills
