Falcon Coffees Overview
Falcon Coffees, established in 2008, is a green coffee trading company with offices and representation in ten countries across UK, Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. We are a diverse group of people comprising 21 nationalities with over 20 languages spoken. We source coffee from 20 producing origins on behalf of 1500 coffee roasters around the world. Core to our business model is delivering positive socio-economic impact in the communities we work with and shared environmental stewardship.
Position Overview
Falcon is a fast paced and growing organisation with 4 global subsidiaries. The parent company is a listed company and the finance team are also responsible for maintaining internal controls under a SOX environment. Falcon is at an exciting stage in its growth and this role will suit someone who works well to deadlines with strong accuracy and is looking for a role that will grow in responsibility over time.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing the majority of month end and reporting tasks for the main group company. With 4 subsidiaries around the world, there is scope for this person to be responsible for the financials of at least one subsidiary, including managing local reporting and audit responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Preparation of month end accounting, including the majority of balance sheet accounts for both parent company and subsidiaries.
· Preparation of month end reporting and financial statements, both internal and external.
· Preparation of internal weekly reporting.
· Preparation of annual IFRS financial statements.
· Support with business requests from sales teams, including data analysis and ad hoc reports.
· Support with other ad hoc reporting requirements.
· Maintain a robust internal control environment.
Essential Skills/Attributes
· Strong Microsoft Excel User.
· Experience of month end reporting.
· Experience of consolidations and subsidiary accounts.
· Strong understanding of financial statements, ideally with IFRS experience.
· Working knowledge of VAT and reporting requirements.
· Either ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience.

· Have strong attention to detail including self-review.
· Be able to work effectively within a team whilst also taking ownership of key accounting areas.
· Be able to multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
· Have a positive, can-do attitude and be happy to help team members to get the jobs done.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
