Job Purpose
This role provides vital support to families and professionals across the United Kingdom affected by Childhood Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
Working within the Brain Injury Service and alongside our Community Inclusion and Early Intervention services, you will deliver high-quality virtual support to families and communities navigating the challenges of ABI.
The successful post holder will play a key role in ensuring families can access the right support at the right time. This home-based role is delivered primarily through virtual engagement, using specialist resources and a good knowledge of health, education, and social care systems to support children and young people (CYP)and their families, particularly within underserved communities. Occasional travel may be required.
You will be responsible for managing your own workload with minimal supervision, prioritising effectively, and working towards key targets and outcomes. A strong understanding of statutory, voluntary, and community sector services is important in order to enable effective support pathways for children, young people, and their families.
We are looking for someone who is empathetic, approachable, and able to engage meaningfully with children, young people, and families. You will demonstrate a commitment to treating all individuals with respect and dignity, in line with the values of the Child Brain Injury Trust. The successful candidate will have:
· An understanding of the educational support needs of children and young people with special educational needs
· An understanding of local and national services that can support families with special educational needs
· Relevant experience supporting families with disabilities
· Relevant experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong IT skills
