We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Care Assistant to join a unique 24-hour care package supporting a non-verbal client within their home environment.

Shift times are a combination of early shifts (0800 – 1530) and late shifts (1430 – 2100).
Night Shifts (2000 – 0800) may be required to help cover annual leave as and when needed.
** Role Responsibilities **
– Providing high-quality personal care and daily living support
– Assisting with mobility, transfers, and positioning where required
– Supporting communication needs using non-verbal cues and established methods
– Monitoring wellbeing and responding calmly to changing needs
– Maintaining accurate care records and reporting concerns appropriately
– Supporting social interaction and engagement in daily activities
– Working collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals
– Ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive environment at all times
** Essential Requirements **
– Previous experience in care support, ideally within complex care or 24-hour packages
– Experience supporting non-verbal individuals or clients with communication needs
– A calm, compassionate, and reliable nature
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Good observation and communication skills
– Flexibility to work shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays where required
– Full UK driving licence (prefered)

All staff must apply to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Group scheme (PVG) through Disclosure Scotland. Initially this will cost £59 which you must pay yourself on offer of a position. An update is required every 2 years costing £18.
Must be willing to achieve the SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). New staff must register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months of starting with the company.
