Event Staff job at Henfield Full Time

Falcon Events is looking for a reliable, practical and hard-working part-time team member to help with warehouse work, van loading, event setups and de-rigs.

We specialise in event draping, venue transformations, weddings, corporate events and themed installations. The role would suit someone hands-on who is comfortable with physical work, can think for themselves, and is happy working both as part of a team and independently.

Main duties

• Loading and unloading vans
• Preparing stock and equipment for events
• Keeping the warehouse organised
• Assisting with event setups and de-rigs
• Installing and removing draping, pipe and drape, base plates, uprights and other event equipment
• Helping maintain and pack away event stock properly
• Learning specialist draping and venue transformation skills
• Driving company vehicles when required
• Working on site at weddings, corporate events, venues and private events
• Training given where required and chance to learn new skills. perfect for getting into events

What we’re looking for

• Full UK driving licence essential
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Able to work on your own when needed
• Physically fit and happy with lifting/carrying
• Practical, hands-on and willing to learn
• Good attention to detail
• Flexible with working days and times
• Comfortable with occasional late nights and weekend work
• Able to represent the company professionally on site

Hours

The role offers 16 hours guaranteed per week, with extra hours often available. In busier periods, this may increase to around 30 hours per week.

Working days are flexible and will vary depending on event bookings. Some work will involve early starts, late-night de-rigs and weekends.

Experience

Previous event, warehouse, marquee, staging, AV, draping, construction or practical trade experience would be useful, but it is not essential. Training will be given.

The most important thing is a good attitude, reliability, common sense and the ability to get stuck in.
