Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Dumper Driver/Ground Worker to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating dumpers and other ground work activities to support ongoing projects. This role requires a proactive attitude, mechanical knowledge, and experience with commercial driving equipment. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the construction industry while contributing to the efficient progress of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate dumper trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials across construction sites
- Assist with ground preparation, including loading and unloading materials
- Support site activities by manoeuvring excavators and other machinery as required
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure safety and operational standards are maintained
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks within specified timeframes
- Follow all site safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction machinery and vehicles
- Experience operating excavators and dumpers in a construction environment
- Valid commercial driving licence
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under supervision
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
