Job Overview.
We are looking for a driver/packer to join our team, the location of this role is flexible, but a North Somerset location is advantageous. This role suits someone who enjoys working with a high degree of independence and self initiative, it is a fundamental job within the company, ensuring our produce gets from the market to our delivery drivers in a timely manner.
The succesful appilcant will be working closely with our Manager, and Sales Director
About the business
We are growing business, focused around sustainable UK seafood. We are a wholesaler to restaurants, hotels, stadiums, universities, schools and other venues. We also deliver to homes and have a shop in Nailsea, Bristol.
Duties
- Drive to Brixham market in the morning.
- Pack orders as per packing sheet, this job will mainly be done by our processing operative, but you will help out for a short period of time.
- Load the van and drive back to Wrington, Bristol (Company transport yard)
- Deliver to restaurants / homes as and when required.
- Communicating with the office re any changes to the order
- Maintaining the van, cleanliness, oil checks, water checks, tyre checks.
- Loading fish into our shop, and rotating stock.
Requirements
- 20 years old or above due to fleet insurance
- Less than 3 points on your driving licence.
- Knowledge of fish and seafood is desirable but not essential.
- Self starting attitude.
- Ability to perform quality control checks effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Capability to engage in heavy lifting (up to 20 kg) as part of daily duties.
