About the Role

As a Driver with Paul Rigby Ltd, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods and materials to various destinations. You will represent our company on the road, maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle upkeep. This position is part-time and permanent, ideal for someone looking for steady employment with a reputable company in the automotive and driving sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods and materials to assigned locations within agreed timeframes.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurate and complete, handling paperwork such as delivery notes and manifests.
• Reporting any defects or incidents promptly.
• Comply with all relevant traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Paul Rigby Ltd professionally.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents during driving shifts.
• Work collaboratively with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type you will be operating.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in the automotive or logistics sectors.
• Good knowledge of local roads and routes in Staffordshire and surrounding areas.
• Ability to handle physical aspects of the role, including loading and unloading.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for handling delivery documentation.
• Flexible approach to working hours as required by the part-time schedule.
