Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide essential assistance to individuals with disabilities. The role involves supporting clients in their daily activities, fostering independence, and ensuring their well-being within a caring environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through personalised care and support.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and household tasks
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families
- Support clients in participating in community activities, outings, and social events
- Provide transportation as needed, including driving clients to appointments or activities
- Monitor and document clients’ progress, behaviours, and any changes in condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent support
- Maintain a safe and clean environment that promotes the health and safety of clients
- Engage children in developmental activities tailored to their needs and interests
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to develop and follow care plans accurately and compassionately
- Good IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
- Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities within a supportive environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.71-£15.50 per hour
