Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Laboratory Assistant to join our professional dental team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a busy digital dental laboratory environment, supporting the creation of customised dental prosthetics and appliances. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, effective communication and IT capabilities with a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in a dental laboratory environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position is suitable for individuals committed to delivering high-quality service, and supporting dental professionals in delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Duties

• Assist dental technicians in preparing and processing dental prosthetics and appliances
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of laboratory work and patient information
• Operate specialised CAD/CAM software and equipment for designing and manufacturing dental appliances
• Communicate effectively with dental professionals regarding laboratory orders and specifications
• Manage schedules and workflow for laboratory tasks to ensure timely delivery of products
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership regarding technical issues and problem solving
• Keep the laboratory environment clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards

Qualifications

• Experience or background in dental technology is desirable but not mandatory
• Strong IT skills for processing digital scans/data, utilising specialised dental software and for communication purposes
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple daily tasks efficiently
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with dental professionals when necessary
• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn technical procedures and processes related to dental prosthetics production
