Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vans to transport goods to designated destinations in a timely manner
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secure and undamaged during transit
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays
- Communicate with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen issues
- Assist with warehouse tasks, including organising stock and heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments
- Valid
driver’s licence with a clean driving record - Experience with commercial driving and operating vans or lorries of similar size
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations is desirable
