Duties

• Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and customers.
• Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption.
• Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon completion of deliveries.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including adherence to traffic laws and company policies.
• Communicate with dispatch or management regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the route.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial vehicles.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and safety procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
• Ability to operate flatbed trucks safely and securely load/unload cargo.
• Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
