Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and light food items. Duties

• The Deli / Barista Staff member will prepare high-quality coffee, sandwiches, salads, pastries, and light deli offerings while delivering excellent customer service. This is a hands-on role suitable for someone reliable, and passionate about hospitality.
• Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or pastries as required.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of work, adhering to health regulations.
• Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and processing payments using the till system.
• Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth service.
• Keep the work area clean and organised, including cleaning equipment and tables regularly.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner and addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
• Follow organisational procedures for cash handling, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards.

Skills

• Proven food safety knowledge to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role.
• Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment with a focus on excellent service delivery.
• Competence in food preparation, including handling ingredients safely and efficiently.
• Basic maths skills for processing transactions accurately.
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively while maintaining quality standards.
