About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Success Manager (CSM) to support the continued growth of our Smart Farming solutions across the South of England. This role is critical in ensuring customers achieve maximum value from their investment in Datamars products including:
Active Tag collar systems
Drafting gates
Walk Over Weighing (WOW) systems
Gateways, connectivity infrastructure, and associated software platforms
As the face of our Smart Farming support function, you will work directly with dairy and livestock farmers both remotely and on-farm, ensuring smooth onboarding, installation, technical support, ongoing product adoption, and strategic customer success.
This is a hybrid field and office role, requiring regular travel to farms throughout the South of England.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Technical Excellence
Deliver expert on-farm installation, setup, and configuration of Smart Farming systems
Support customers via phone, email, and CRM ticketing systems for troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Diagnose and resolve issues relating to collars, drafters, gateways, weigh scales, and software systems
Coordinate warranty claims, returns, and service interventions when required
Provide training and onboarding for new customers to ensure rapid product adoption
Customer Success & Relationship Management
Build strong long-term customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact
Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with all assigned customers to:
Review product performance
Analyse farm KPIs and data insights
Identify opportunities for optimisation and expansion
Strengthen retention and customer advocacy
Support customers in achieving measurable business outcomes through consultative guidance
Collaboration & Commercial Support
Work closely with sales teams during pre-sale and post-sale processes
Assist with lead generation and growth opportunities within existing customer bases
Provide customer feedback to internal product development and solution teams
Support internal departments with product knowledge, technical expertise, and customer insights
Systems & Administration
Utilise Salesforce, CRM platforms, and support systems to log and manage all customer interactions
Maintain accurate service records and support documentation
Ensure all customer service processes are compliant with company standards and industry regulations
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
2+ years experience in customer success, customer service, technical support, or agricultural sales
Agricultural background, ideally within dairy or livestock farming
Strong technical troubleshooting skills across software and hardware systems
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
Experience with Smart Farming technology, livestock monitoring, or agricultural equipment
Knowledge of Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft 365
Understanding of dairy farm performance metrics and KPI analysis
