The best underwriting careers aren’t built by maintaining portfolios-they’re built by helping shape them. If you’re looking for an opportunity to influence growth, develop broker relationships and contribute to a business that’s redefining how underwriting is done, this could be the role for you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit & Political Risk Underwriter to join an ambitious and fast-growing insurer that is combining underwriting expertise, innovative technology and an ownership-led culture to create a genuinely different proposition in the market.
This is an opportunity to become part of a business that empowers underwriters to make decisions, drive growth and play a meaningful role in shaping the future of their portfolio.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
An Ownership Mindset
The business has created a culture where employees share in the success they help create. Every employee holds equity in the parent company, aligning individual performance with long-term business growth. Many members of the team have also invested personally in the business, reflecting the confidence they have in its future.
Technology That Gives Underwriters an Edge
The company has developed its own proprietary underwriting platform, designed to simplify processes and enhance the underwriting experience. The technology enables complex risks to be quoted and bound in under a minute, allowing underwriters to spend more time focused on trading, broker engagement and portfolio development.
A Modern Way of Working
Built around a digital-first philosophy, the business operates with a lean and collaborative structure. Without layers of bureaucracy, employees are empowered to make decisions quickly, contribute ideas and directly influence outcomes across the organisation.
The Role
As a Credit & Political Risk Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting and developing a portfolio of business across Credit and Political Risk classes. You will work closely with brokers and clients, helping to identify opportunities, assess complex risks and deliver profitable growth.
