Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vans adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at multiple destinations throughout the day.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Confirm deliveries with recipients, obtain signatures or proof of delivery, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses or any unforeseen issues during routes.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and operational standards are met.
• Maintain a clean and organised vehicle to promote safety and efficiency during deliveries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
• Valid UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness for the role.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Organised with the ability to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently.
