Pure Insights is seeking passionate and qualified counsellor to join our associate network of counsellors.
We have over 15 years’ experience in providing tailored services of Counselling, Coaching, Consultancy and Training programs to Corporate Organisations, Job Service Providers, and Community Organisations.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Role
2 days a week available. Remote contractor role of 2 days a week providing remote counselling on our justice contract.
· Providing professional counselling services to justice participants . Counselling will consist of appropriate assessment of client needs and concerns, including areas of mental health, addiction, behavioural management, family and relationship issues, and other aspects; appropriate therapeutic interventions; follow up support; liaison and/or referral with other professional services.
· Implement appropriate strategies and intervention plans dealing with barriers.
· Provide appropriate advice and recommendations to community hub support teams as required by means of the counselling service and activities concerning client wellbeing, particularly where urgent action is required regarding duty of care.
· Maintain accuracy and consistency of all case notes with attendance record and recommendations filed to prison support services and Pure Insights management team at the end of each working day.
· Abide by all Pure Insights policies and procedures, including staff debrief and case management, mandatory staff meeting and other written notices in accordance with Pure Insights Staff Manual.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful you must have.
· Relevant qualifications in counselling and registration with a relevant professional body such as the BACP or UKCP.
. Previous experience of counselling in a justice setting.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people with a number of mental health issues incorporating complex intervention strategies.
· Proven oral and written communication skills including demonstrated experience writing comprehensive reports, correspondence and intervention plans.
· Proven ability to work independently to manage own role and responsibility in a varied work environment.
Must be willing to go through the prison vetting process to undertake the counselling work with our participants.
