Cost & Pricing Business Partner
Engineering & Manufacturing Environment
Uxbridge, UK
A unique opportunity has arisen to join a highly respected British engineering and manufacturing organisation operating within a complex precision environment.
This role sits at the intersection of Engineering, Operations, Commercial and Finance ideal for someone who understands how products are built, costed and delivered, and enjoys turning technical and manufacturing detail into commercially robust pricing models and business insight.
This is not a pure finance role.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience gained within engineering, manufacturing, production or operational environments, especially those who understand how engineered products are structured, routed, manufactured and costed.
The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Sourcing, Commercial and Finance teams to:
Develop, validate and maintain detailed cost and pricing models for customer proposals and bids
Analyse Bills of Materials (BoM), routings, labour standards and manufacturing data to improve pricing accuracy
Support bid and proposal activity by producing robust cost justification and commercial analysis
Carry out variance analysis comparing estimated vs actual costs to improve future costing accuracy
Work closely with Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure operational realities are reflected within pricing models
Identify commercial, operational and compliance risks within costing and pricing assumptions
Support supplier cost analysis and negotiation activity alongside sourcing teams
Drive continuous improvement across costing, pricing and operational analysis processes, including SAP S4/HANA optimisation initiatives
Contribute to improving data quality, pricing consistency and commercial decision-making across the business
You’ll be joining a business with:
Complex engineered products
A collaborative and technically driven culture
Strong long-term stability and investment
Meaningful, high-impact work
Excellent career development opportunities
We’re particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have experience within:
• Engineering or manufacturing environments, including aerospace and defense sectors
• Production, operations or cost engineering
• Estimating, commercial analysis or pricing
• Supply chain, sourcing or manufacturing finance
• Complex product or assembly-based industries
Candidates with a practical understanding of how engineered products are built, routed and costed will be especially well-suited to this opportunity.
