We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a construction project manager. This role involves a variety of tasks related to building and construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out construction tasks including framing, roofing, plastering, and finishing work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Assist in the installation of structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, and cabinetry.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with building codes and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
• Report any issues or discrepancies to the site supervisor promptly.

Skills

• Proficiency in various construction techniques and methods.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols within the construction environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication skills for working within a team setting.
• Physical stamina and strength for manual labour tasks.
• Previous experience in construction or general building trades is advantageous but not essential.
