Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with various aspects of construction projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in building trades and be willing to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment. This position offers valuable hands-on experience across multiple construction disciplines, contributing to the successful completion of diverse projects.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and organisation of construction sites, including unloading materials and setting up equipment.
• Supporting tradespeople with tasks such as roofing, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, and plastering.
• Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
• Assisting with fabrication and installation work as directed by supervisors.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Assisting with site clean-up, waste removal, and organisation of materials throughout the project duration.
• Supporting the team in reading schematics and following technical instructions for various construction tasks.

Requirements

• Previous experience or familiarity with construction trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or masonry is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
• Basic understanding of schematics or technical drawings is beneficial.
• Physically fit with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
• Strong teamwork ethic with good communication skills.
• Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
• Commitment to health and safety standards on-site.

Job Type: Part-time
