We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Barista to join our vibrant team at Ori Caffe within the John Lewis Store Centre MK. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and sanitising surfaces in accordance with food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
• Manage multiple orders during busy periods while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Restock supplies as needed, including cups, lids, condiments, and ingredients.
• Uphold health and safety regulations related to food safety and hygiene at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar serving role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic maths accurately for handling transactions.
• Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to enhance customer experience.
• Capable of working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Organised with attention to detail to ensure consistency in beverage quality and cleanliness standards. Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
