Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, adhering to company recipes and standards
- Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other light snacks, preparing soups & fillings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter, seating area, and kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Operate cash registers, process payments accurately, and provide correct change
- Restock supplies as needed throughout shifts to ensure smooth service
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively with patrons and addressing any enquiries or concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Experience & Knowledge of food safety standards is required
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is necessary
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Good organisational skills with effective time management to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
- A friendly demeanour with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering outstanding service
