Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, and living environments. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for clients through personalised care and support. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. Effective communication with people ( in good English ) is the minimum desired qualification.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Engage clients in social activities and behavioural management strategies to promote well-being
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance mental health and overall happiness
- Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid skills when necessary
- Support families and other healthcare professionals involved in client care
Skills
- Experience in Supported living, Care home environments or home care services
- Ability to perform lifting and pushing a wheelchair.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage behaviour effectively.
- Compassionate nature with strong caregiving qualities and patience
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficientl
