We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with café standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including dining spaces and kitchen facilities.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders and answering queries regarding menu items.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages during peak hours.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, applying basic maths skills for payments and change.
• Support team members in various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations throughout the café.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• A passion for food preparation and customer service is highly desirable.
