Specialty Coffee | Brand New Site | Founding Team Member
We’re looking for an exceptional Barista to join the founding team of a brand-new FIKA coffee bar in the heart of the City.
This is a rare opportunity to help launch a new location from day one, working with a Modbar espresso system, Mahlkönig E80 Grind-by-Weight grinder and a high-end hospitality offer designed around quality, sustainability and exceptional customer experience.
Serving specialty coffee, pastries, snacks, fruit, breakfast options and hospitality refreshments, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming space that customers genuinely look forward to visiting every day.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing and serving exceptional coffee and drinks
- Building relationships with customers and becoming a familiar face on site
- Maintaining outstanding standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Supporting hospitality requirements when required
- Assisting with stock management and site organisation
- Working closely with the Site Manager to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Helping shape the culture and standards of a brand-new location from day one
What We’re Looking For
- Previous barista experience
- A genuine passion for specialty coffee
- Friendly, confident and professional approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Reliable and organised approach to work
- A love of hospitality and creating positive customer experiences
Experience with specialty coffee equipment is a bonus, but attitude, personality and enthusiasm are equally important.
Coffee Development
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your coffee knowledge and skills.
You’ll work directly alongside one of FIKA’s senior coffee specialists and trainers, receiving hands-on coaching and development in specialty coffee, service and hospitality.
Whether you’re looking to refine your skills, deepen your coffee knowledge or progress your career within the industry, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
