Drop-in is a first of its kind; a local work club and coffee house. Our clubs are spaces for modern workers to escape the rabbit hole of distractions and get their head down. Always focused. Always local. Always in real life.
Born in Hackney, we are creating a new category of work. A true consumer offering. We are set to open several more clubs in the coming year as we enter the exciting next chapter in our journey. We are on the hunt for a superstar barista to join us in Richmond.
Your Opportunity
We are looking for a fun, outgoing and high energy Barista to join us. You’ll be part of the team in the club, steering the cafe and serving amazing drinks to our customers. You will run everything coffee and member related.
You’ll help deliver a five-star service from open to close while maintaining safety, consistency, and a friendly club vibe. You will need to have been a Barista, and be keen to learn and progress. We will teach you a lot and there is huge room to grow. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to embark on an exciting journey with a startup that has big visions.
Responsibilities
Member Experience & Community Building
- Providing a five star member experience from opening to close
- Participate in Club events and help create surprise-and-delight moment
- Giving tours to new
- Gather member feedback and share insights.
- Foster meaningful relationships with members and guests.
Coffee & Service Excellence
- Prepare drinks to Drop-in’s Barista Prepared Drink standards.
- Being a dedicated speciality coffee enthusiast
- Serve customers with energy, warmth, and urgency.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality coffee and milk drinks.
Health, Safety & Cleanliness
- Ensuring the cafe and Club are always clean and well maintained
- Complete daily, weekly, and log-based checks per Drop-in standards.
- Ensure food and drink safety protocols are followed at all times.
Operations & Stock
- Coffee & coffee related stock management
- Maintain and care for coffee equipment.
- Follow merchandising and display guidelines.
Who You Are
- A coffee lover with experience in a high-quality café or hospitality environment.
- Passionate about service, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Confident under pressure and comfortable multitasking.
- Friendly, positive, and social; someone who naturally connects with others.
- Eager to learn and open to feedback.
- Proud to represent your Club and team.
