Job Overview: 6 week temporary role (with opportunity to join on permanent basis)

We are seeking an experienced Coffee Shop Barista who is friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Assistant to join our team. Needs to be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and willing to assist in a bit of food preparation. Being able to do latte art will be a welcomed bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and serve customers with a positive and helpful attitude
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee drinks
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
• Handle customer payments
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café area, including counters, tables, and equipment
• Restock shelves, fridges, and display cases with food and beverage items
• Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and store policies
• Support other team members and contribute to a positive team atmosphere

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a café or customer service role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Flexibility to work varying shifts Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm.

Desirable:

• Barista training or knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
• Food hygiene certification

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £12.75 per hour
