Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while expertly crafting their favourite beverages. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that every cup served is a delightful experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper change is given.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere, fostering repeat business.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
- A genuine passion for coffee and customer service is highly desirable.
