Assistant Underwriter – Property Reinsurance job at London Full Time

We are currently partnering with a growing and well-regarded London Market MGA seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join their Property Reinsurance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with 2-3 years’ insurance market experience looking to further develop their underwriting career within a collaborative and technically strong reinsurance environment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced underwriters, supporting an international portfolio with a particular focus on LATAM business.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting Underwriters across new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments
Assisting with risk analysis, underwriting documentation, and policy preparation
Managing underwriting administration and ensuring accurate record keeping
Liaising with brokers and internal stakeholders on underwriting queries
Preparing and maintaining underwriting files, submissions, and reports
Monitoring renewal timelines and ensuring service standards are maintained
Supporting portfolio management and underwriting processes across the Property Reinsurance account
Assisting with market research and general underwriting support duties
Candidate Requirements
2-3 years’ insurance market experience
London Market and/or reinsurance exposure preferred
Property insurance or property reinsurance exposure advantageous
Strong communication and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
Spanish language skills beneficial due to LATAM portfolio exposure, although not essential
