The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hybrid Electrical Solutions at a time of sustained growth. As our Assistant Project Manager, you will work directly alongside the Project Manager, playing a central role in the delivery of projects across our electrical, construction, and rail services portfolio.

You will be the operational backbone of the project team — keeping documentation accurate, schedules on track, and stakeholders informed. This is a role for someone who is organised, proactive, and ready to grow into a Project Manager in their own right. You will be given the tools, exposure, and support to do exactly that.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Delivery

– Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day coordination across the electrical, construction, and rail services portfolio

– Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery

– Monitor project timelines, budgets, and procurement schedules, flagging risks and variances early

– Attend site meetings, produce accurate meeting notes, and follow up on actions with relevant stakeholders

Documentation & Reporting

– Prepare and maintain project documentation, progress reports, and status updates to a consistently high standard

– Track variations, Early Warning Notices (EWNs), quotations, and project costs with accuracy and discipline

– Support quality assurance processes and project handover documentation

– Ensure all records are maintained in line with company procedures and client requirements

Stakeholder & Supply Chain Liaison

– Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to coordinate project activities

– Coordinate deliveries, materials, and labour requirements to support seamless site operations

– Communicate project updates clearly and professionally to internal and external stakeholders

Health, Safety & Compliance

– Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures across all assigned projects

– Maintain and update H&S compliance documentation, supporting a zero-incident culture

– Assist with site inspections, risk assessments, and method statement reviews as required

What you’ll Bring

Essential

– Previous experience in a project coordination, administration, or assistant project management role

– Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident liaising with clients, site teams, and suppliers

– Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

– Full UK driving license

Desirable

– Experience within the electrical, construction, or rail services industries

– Familiarity with project management software or document control systems

– Relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or project management (e.g. HNC, HND, PRINCE2, APM)

– Understanding of NEC contract forms, variation procedures, or procurement processes
