Are you looking to take your first step into a new career? Maybe you’re finishing school or college, or perhaps you’re already in the world of work and looking for a change of career. Either way, our apprenticeships will set you on the road to success.
Join us, and you’ll contribute to communities and make a difference – because we all have a part to play in bettering the lives of Staffordshire’s residents. We have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their data skills to support the over-arching aims of our service area.
You can expect:
Our Careers and Participation Service works with young people at risk of not participating in learning, or those who are not participating, to provide support to enable them to engage in employment, education or training.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and conscientious person to work as an Apprentice Data Technician within our Planning and Performance Team on a fixed term basis for 20 months.
Main Responsibilities
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll need:
As well as learning on the job we will develop a guided learning path for you, working with our accredited training provider, QA. We will support you to follow an approved apprenticeship standard in ICT at Level 3 (Data Essentials Apprenticeship | Data Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship).
You will receive continual support and be working in a team of high performing, dedicated and most importantly – friendly colleagues.
Recruitment process
First stage will be your application form where we will ask a couple of questions about why you have applied for the role and what you think you can bring. Please note we do not accept CV’s and encourage you to complete all sections of the application form.
If we receive a high volume of applicants the next stage may be an automated video interview where we will send you a couple of questions for you to reply to with recorded video answers.
Final stage will be an in person assessment at our Stafford office which will include some interview questions and a quick task to test some of the skills needed for the basic elements of the role.
Final stage assessment will be held week commencing 13th July 2026.
