Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the finance team at one of our high-profile client sites. The role will also involve occasional time spent between our Gerrards Cross and Chorleywood offices.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Review daily sales reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Post and allocate bank receipts across multiple payment streams
• Reconcile daily sales reports against bank receipts
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Respond to queries from the Management Accounts team, Finance Manager and wider business
• Monitor and maintain the aged receivables ledger, ensuring timely collections
• Manage and follow up on chargeback enquiries from card payment providers
• Support the preparation of ad hoc financial reports as required by the group
• Carry out general administrative tasks to support the finance function

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role
• Working knowledge of SAP or similar accounting systems
• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and financial controls
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data effectively
• Strong communication skills, including professional telephone manner
• Experience in Accounts Payable is advantageous but not essential
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
