Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the daily financial operations by managing data entry, processing accounts payable, and assisting with various accounting tasks. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to build a career in finance and accounting.

Duties

• Enter financial data accurately into various accounting software systems including Workday, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and QuickBooks
• Manage accounts payable processes by verifying invoices and processing payments in a timely manner
• Assist with reconciliations of accounts and preparation of financial reports
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain organised records of transactions and ensure compliance with company policies
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve financial procedures
• Contribute to the optimisation of data entry processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required

Skills

• Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Workday or similar enterprise management systems is advantageous
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy levels
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial documentation standards
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Good communication skills to liaise across departments and external vendors
• Ability to adapt quickly to new software platforms and procedures
• Prior experience in financial services or related fields is beneficial but not essential
