We’re looking for a passionate and proactive End User Computing Engineer to join our Digital Service Desk team. As part of a collaborative, highly skilled group, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional digital support and driving improvements that enhance our colleagues’ everyday digital experience.
In this role, you will provide high-quality technical support to colleagues, ensuring they can use digital tools effectively to carry out their work. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving end user computing issues, escalating them when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
You will support device management, software deployment, and the smooth operation of a variety of end user technologies. As part of your responsibilities, you’ll help identify any system or process weaknesses and contribute to long-term, sustainable solutions that strengthen our digital environment.
You’ll have experience working in digital support and feel confident helping colleagues with their everyday technology needs. You’ll also have a genuine interest in technology, enjoy learning new systems, and be keen to help improve the digital services we provide.
You’ll use your strong analytical skills to investigate issues, understand what’s causing them, and spot any patterns. You’ll be able to explain technical information in a clear, simple way that colleagues across the organisation can easily understand.
You’ll work in a proactive and collaborative way, taking part in team meetings, projects, and daily service improvements. You’ll be committed to finding better ways of working, helping to improve processes, and supporting a positive digital experience for everyone.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting core Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Windows 11, Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, and Apple iOS. Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Surface devices (Laptops and Pros) as well as Apple iPhones and iPads is essential.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in ITIL-based environments and a solid understanding of ITIL principles. An ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification is highly desirable, demonstrating your ability to work within structured service management frameworks.
Practical experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools is required, with a focus on driving continual improvements, automating workflows, and ensuring efficient service delivery. Familiarity with ServiceNow would be a significant advantage.
Excellent communication skills are critical, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts effectively. A proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a strong user-focused approach is essential.
You should be able to explain technical issues and resolutions clearly in non-technical language, ensuring users understand the cause and effect of problems and the steps taken to resolve them.
Experience in creating and maintaining knowledge base documentation is also required. This includes accurately reflecting existing systems and processes and ensuring documentation remains current and relevant.
