Owen Reed is looking for a Legal PA to join the Finance team within a top international law firm in London.
Hybrid | 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
9:30am – 5:30pm (flexibility required in line with business needs)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal PA within a busy Finance practice of a leading international law firm. This Legal PA role will support a small group of Partners and fee earners, and the Legal PA will be responsible for delivering high-level administrative, organisational and financial support. The Legal PA will play a key role in managing demanding workloads during financial close periods, and the Legal PA will ensure the smooth running of Partner practices at all times. The Legal PA will operate in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment, and the Legal PA will be expected to demonstrate strong initiative, accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing complex diaries, meetings and schedules for Partners
• Coordinating travel arrangements including itineraries, accommodation and visas
• Supporting matter opening, client onboarding and compliance checks
• Managing inboxes and prioritising urgent correspondence on behalf of Partners
• Producing, formatting and proofreading legal documents and presentations
• Coordinating billing processes, WIP management and financial reporting tasks
• Supporting credit control activities including chasing outstanding invoices
• Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems such as InterAction
• Supporting business development activity including events and client meetings
• Attending meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions
• Liaising with internal teams including Finance, Marketing and BD
• Providing wider administrative and team support as required
Skills & Experience Required:
• Previous experience working as a Legal PA within a law firm
• Strong exposure to Finance, billing or financial management processes is highly desirable
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook essential; Excel and PowerPoint advantageous)
• Excellent written English, grammar and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Confident communicator with a professional and proactive approach
• Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
