Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our small, friendly nursery setting. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the setting; which means there is plenty of room for promotion and career progression within the team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality childcare, supporting children’s development, and working collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and stimulating atmosphere for children aged from birth to five years. We are open to part time or full time candidates on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s developmental milestones
• Provide high standards of care, ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of all children
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress whilst maintaining detailed documentation in line with nursery policies
• Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development through positive interactions and guidance
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent care routines
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment that promotes learning and exploration
• Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding their child’s progress and any concerns or achievements
• Assist in organising outings and activities outside the nursery setting when appropriate
• Contribute to team meetings and ongoing training sessions to enhance professional skills

Requirements

• Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare
• Proven experience working within a nursery or similar childcare setting advantageous but will consider newly qualified candidates too.
• leadership skills would be a bonus to help support apprentice staff members.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their early development
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a small setting
• Good organisational skills with the ability to plan effectively and adapt to changing needs of the children.

Pay: £17,844.00-£32,000.00 per hour
