Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and general kitchen duties, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation. Duties

• Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
• Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and basic dishes under supervision
• Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure food safety standards are met
• Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
• Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring presentation and hygiene are maintained
• Support catering events by organising supplies and assisting with set-up and breakdown
• Ensure the kitchen remains organised, stocked, and hygienic at all times
• Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a similar food service environment is desirable
• Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
• Experience in food preparation, kitchen organisation, or culinary roles is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Flexibility to adapt to busy service periods and varying tasks
