About The Role
Assistant Accountant
Marshall Motor Group – Volvo Division

Full-time | 40 hrs Monday-Friday. Based out of either Derby or Milton Keynes.

We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant who thrives on accuracy, enjoys solving problems, and loves being part of a team that keeps a major business running smoothly.
As an integral part of our Volvo Finance team, you’ll support daily financial operations and play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting and smooth audit processes.
The role
- Support Shared Services Centre to ensure ledgers are maintained to high standard
- Support Management Accountant with all aspects of the month end process & day to day function of multiple stores
- Balance Sheet reconciliation & creating monthly Balance Sheet review files
- Assist with Vehicle & Parts Stock check requirements
- Support with Internal & External audit requirements
- Monthly Risk & Audit controls
- Support with regular Debt Reviews for multiple stores
- Liaise with internal and external teams
- Support & cover where required
We’re looking for:
- A methodical individual focused on ensuring accurate accounting first time and ability to investigated and resolve problems
- Someone who enjoys the challenge of adjusting routines to meet deadlines and liaising with people outside of the team.
- Qualified / Part Qualified AAT / QBE.
- Intermediate Excel Skills (Lookups, pivot tables, basic formulas) required
- Previous experience of Purchase Ordering systems and VAT desirable..
- Previous experience or knowledge of Keyloop/Drive and COUPA preferable.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
