Area Sales Manager HVAC / Building Services
Location: North Region, M62 Corridor and surrounding areas
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 basic
Bonus: 15% at target, up to 30%

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to manage and grow a Northern sales territory across the M62 corridor and surrounding areas.
This is a strong opportunity for someone already selling into the HVAC, building services, M&E contractor or distributor market who wants to move into a high-growth manufacturer with a realistic bonus structure, strong product range and genuine market momentum.
You will be joining a major European manufacturer of pumps and pump systems for commercial building services and industrial applications. The business has a major UK presence, a strong sustainability position and is gaining share in a competitive market.
The role
As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing sales across your region. You will work closely with M&E contractors, HVAC contractors, distributors, consultants and specifiers to identify projects, influence specifications and convert opportunities through distribution.
The role is a mix of account management, business development and project-led sales. Some orders will move quickly, while larger commercial projects may involve a longer sales cycle, multiple quote revisions and value engineering stages.
You will be home-based and expected to spend regular time in front of customers across the territory.

Candidate requirements
You should already have external sales experience within HVAC, building services or a closely related technical product area.
We are open on exact product background, but you are likely to come from one of the following:
Pump manufacturers
HVAC manufacturers
Boilers, heat pumps, AHUs, AC, valves, fittings, pipework or related products
Building services distributors
M&E or HVAC contractor supply chain sales
Must-haves
Nice-to-haves
Direct pump experience.
Existing relationships with distributors such as Wolseley, BSS, Smith Brothers, AJH or similar.
Experience delivering CPDs, lunch-and-learns or technical presentations.
Existing consultant or specifier relationships.
Package
Basic salary of £50,000 to £55,000.
Up to £60,000 basic for an outstanding candidate with strong relevant experience and relationships.
Bonus of 15% at target.
Bonus capped at 30% for overachievement.
EV company car, currently a Tesla with lease remaining.
Full corporate benefits package.
Home-based role with field travel.
