We are recruiting for a part-time HR Manager for our fast growing, vibrant construction services group. This position as our HR Manager is based on flexible hours/retainer per week Monday to Friday (to be agreed to suit the right candidate).
You will be required to support the company management on all matters related to HR and relevant policies, Employment law and best practices, Workforce wellbeing and health & safety.
You will be required to manage recruitment needs and provide support and guidance to workforce.
You will be main contact for all internal and external HR queries.
HR MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
·Recruitment and Selection- manage all vacancies. Draft job descriptions, person specifications and adverts. Set up & partake in interviews where necessary. Create offers and contracts of employment. Liaise with employment agencies as and when required.
·On-boarding- carry out all pre-employment and right to work in the UK checks. Carry out on-boarding programme and liaise with all relevant departments to set up the new starter.
·Payroll & Pension- liaise with payroll partner for any payroll issues raised by workforce.
·HR documentation, Policies and Procedures- keep up to date with HR developments and changes in legislation. Ensure company compliance and prepare for statutory changes. Ensure all HR records are up to date and GDPR compliant. Review existing policies and develop new policies/ procedures as required.
·Supporting Line Managers- support line managers on all HR-related activities such as reviews, performance appraisals, engagement and conduct. Support managers on staff issues such as disciplinary, capability, attendance, sickness and so on.
·Supporting Employees- support staff as and when required particularly on wellbeing matters. Provide appropriate guidance on understanding and interpreting HR policies, procedures and addressing issues such as sickness, grievances, salary queries.
·Training and Development- work with the leadership and managers to discuss training needs of the workforce and ensure appraisals are conducted at the right time.
·Reward and Engagement- carry out regular reviews on pay structures and benefits. Propose appropriate reward and recognition initiatives/perks. Conduct engagement surveys/feedback and put forward recommendations.
·Diversity, Inclusion & Equality- regularly review all HR policies and procedures and ensure they are fully D, I & E compliant in line with current legislation and best practice.
