We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer who will work as part of our Legal Services team and perform compliance activities to support delivery of SGN’s Corporate Compliance Framework. Your primary role will be to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the compliance-related programmes, policies and processes throughout SGN to ensure compliance with ethical and legislative standards. You will champion our legal compliance, which includes fraud prevention, anti-bribery and corruption, business separation and competition.

· Support the Head of Corporate Compliance with the delivery of Compliance Annual Plan
· Review and update compliance related policies and procedures
· Design, review and maintain compliance risk assessments relating to fraud, anti-bribery and corruption risks
· Deliver Compliance training and communications to employees and contractors
· Lead and support compliance- related projects, including planning, stakeholder coordination, tracking deliverables and meeting deadlines
· Conduct second line reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and recommend improvements to mitigate compliance risks
· Work closely with business and provide high level service and guidance on compliance requirements
· Assist with internal and external audits, regulatory reviews and compliance monitoring activities
· Support the Head of Corporate Compliance in preparing for the Risk, Audit and Assurance Committee and other meetings with key stakeholders
· Maintain an up-to-date professional knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
What you will need
· A degree in Law, Compliance, Finance or a relevant subject (auditing, risk and/or recognised professional designation in Financial Crime Compliance or Risk & Compliance)
· Good legal knowledge in the compliance areas within the remit of the role
· Proven experience in compliance monitoring, control testing and risk reporting
· Experience designing and conducing fraud and ABC risk assessments
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable engaging with all levels of the business and key stakeholders
· Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and methodical approach
· Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver practical risk-based solutions
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in changing environment
· Proactive team player with a strong ethical mindset and collaborative approach
You will stand out from the crowd if you have:
· At least 5 years of working experience in regulated and/or critical infrastructure environments
· Project management qualification or equivalent experience
