IT Help Desk Officer

• Job Type: Contract (3 months)
• Salary: £14.89 per hour PAYE

We are seeking an IT Help Desk Officer to join our team on a three-month contract basis. This role is essential in providing high-quality IT service and proactive support across the organisation. You will work closely with the IT Manager and the IT team to manage IT systems, ensure secure access, and support the implementation of new systems and processes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Log and process support calls within the agreed KPIs and SLAs.
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, network devices, printers, and scanners.
• Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance upgrades, ensuring the rollout of updates such as anti-virus software and security patches.
• Set up and manage user accounts, ensuring secure login and access, and handle the creation, deletion, and management of accounts in MS Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, respond to breakdowns, and diagnose problems.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment distribution and manage the asset register.
• Perform daily networking tasks, manage wireless networks, and deploy desktop images.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience working independently and as part of an IT team.
• Strong background in developing new processes and managing security and access for staff.
• Familiarity with Office 365 security setup and cloud management.
• Experience with Dynamics CRM is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to implement IT contracts for services such as telephone and internet.
• Excellent planning, organisational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working with colleagues across different disciplines and levels, as well as with external suppliers and advisors.
