Maintenance Supervisor

£50,000 – £55,000 depending on experience
A Maintenance Supervisor in London is required to oversee a team of mobile engineers delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial sites.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who still enjoys being on the tools, while also taking responsibility for coordinating workloads, maintaining standards, and supporting a team in the field.
You’ll be responsible for keeping operations running smoothly day-to-day, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main escalation point for technical issues and on-site challenges
- Adjust schedules and workloads in real time to respond to urgent maintenance needs
- Support engineers with complex repairs and fault finding when required
- Monitor performance levels and drive improvements across the team
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety and regulatory standards
- Oversee daily planning using maintenance systems and scheduling tools
- Carry out audits of completed works, reporting accuracy, and general standards
- Supervise and support a team of mobile maintenance engineers
- Maintain accurate records, job updates, and reporting systems
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience supervising or leading a mobile or field-based engineering team
- Strong background as a hands-on Maintenance Engineer
- Confident using CMMS or similar maintenance scheduling systems
- Able to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable dealing with client queries and resolving issues
- Practical, proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership
