Lecturer in Sport & Public Services

Annual Salary: £33,762 to £44,027

Location: South East London

Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-term (maternity cover until July 2026)

We are currently seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Sport & Public Services to join our team. This role is crucial for the growth and development of our Sport & Public Services programmes.

Day-to-day of the role:

Assist with the effective planning and organisation of Sport and Public Services programmes.

Teach a range of courses related to Sport and Public Services to students of varying abilities across levels L1, L2, and L3.

Work with awarding bodies such as NCFE and BTEC to ensure compliance and relevance of the curriculum.

Assist the Curriculum Manager with curriculum development, as well as the expansion and development of the department.

Actively promote the Sport and Public Services courses and other courses within the Service Industries curriculum areas.

Participate in marketing events to enhance the visibility and attractiveness of the programmes offered.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in teaching and/or relevant industry experience in Sport and Public Services.

Qualified FE teacher or willingness to work towards this qualification.

Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).

Strong communication skills, capable of engaging and motivating students.

Efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping and compliance with awarding bodies.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the educational offerings.
