Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven track record leading global IT divisions in capital markets or trading environments.

• Experience managing distributed teams and outsourced services.
• Strong background in IT strategy development and execution.
• Familiarity with UK financial services regulations (FCA, PRA).
• Leadership qualities such as strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive change.
• Technical knowledge in capital markets trading platforms, FX product lines, and IT service management.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:

  • Co-architect the FX IT strategy with the Global FX Business leadership.
  • Act as the primary technology partner to business heads, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment.
  • Drive innovation and represent FX IT in Global IT and Group IT governance forums.
  • Manage investment decisions to ensure IT investments align with strategic business objectives.

• Operational Excellence:

  • Deliver exceptional technology services across production systems and project delivery.
  • Strategically manage global resources, including outsourced services and third-party suppliers.
  • Ensure operational resilience by overseeing production quality, compliance, security, and incident resolution.
  • Utilize KPIs and dashboards to monitor and optimize performance.

• People & Culture:

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across various cultures and time zones.
  • Promote a culture of autonomy, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Empower decentralized decision-making while maintaining strategic alignment.
  • Develop talent and manage team dynamics effectively.

• UK Regulatory Leadership:

  • Oversee all UK-based Capital Markets IT staff and contractors, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Implement robust governance structures and effective risk monitoring.
  • Ensure timely incident reporting to relevant committees and regulators.
