Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and flexible electricians’ mate to support on-site electrical projects across the West Midlands. The role involves assisting qualified electricians with the installation of Solar PV systems.

This role offers a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience in the fast-growing renewable energy sector. Support to gain professional development accreditations will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain and repair existing electrical installations to ensure optimal functionality.
• Cable containment install
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, including risk assessments and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete tasks on schedule.

Experience

• Valid CSCS card or ECS preferred
• Experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance sectors preferred.
• Working towards electrical qualifications.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws.
• Electrical experience with knowledge of current wiring codes and safety standards desirable.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
• Driving license desirable but not essential.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
